A Rhema day is filled with robust and dynamic learning facilitated by qualified and dedicated teachers. Our Christ-centred approach to learning means that we don’t simply have devotions or Bible classes added to our curriculum – the Creator brings true context to everything we do. We nurture a sense of wonder and discovery in the classroom and beyond; from outdoor learning adventures in our own backyard, to singing at local retirement homes, to epic camping trips, to visiting parliament – learning at Rhema is more than well-rounded content delivery, it’s about lifelong memories and unforgettable experiences, it’s about personal and spiritual growth – it’s about following the example of Jesus.

In keeping with our vision to teach the whole child and to foster a growth mindset, Rhema also offers a number of extracurricular opportunities, including several STEM-oriented clubs, a drama team, a praise team, and more. Every year, Rhema Grade 7/8 teams compete in the Durham Region Christian Schools sports tournaments. We often have tournament opportunities for junior sports as well.
