Letter from the Van Spronsen family
Friday, July 6, 2007
Dear Ray and Staff of Rhema,
It was Eighteen Years ago that Ray visited us in our home shortly after we moved here to Peterborough. We were looking for a school that would help George and Adam settle here in Peterborough. Ray told us what we felt would be good for our kids. We felt that it was the Lord’s calling to send the boys in September of 1989. George started in grade 5 and Adam started grade 2.
Through, the years we have seen many changes and many new faces. We have seen the old part of the school get a new roof. The gym being built and the school size just grow. We have also seen many different activities going on in the school. There was chocolate sales, walk-a-thons, bazaars, auctions and many more others. This is just a few of them. We were involved where ever we could help. Rhema is really about sense of community. Over the years, we got to know many different families and we have made lasting friendships.
George and Adam both flourish in their own way at Rhema. George graduated in 1993 from Rhema. Adam graduated from Rhema 1996. We also had Jason and Amanda in Rhema. Jason started in JK in September of 1994. He graduated in 2004 from Rhema.
Amanda started Rhema in JK in September of 1997. She just graduated on Monday night
in the Class of 2007. With all four kids graduated now. We have seen the confidence and faith in all four of our kid’s just soar. They will all take the teachings from Rhema in life with them.
It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell as a sending parent of Rhema. We will continue to support and pray for Rhema Christian School. We know that elementary school is closed for us, but we are excited for any new challenges that the Lord has for us.
Thank-you from the bottoms of ours hearts for everything that you have done for Eighteen Years. God Bless You.
