They shoot, they score, for James Fund

On Saturday March 4, the Grade Seven class held a Floor Hockey Tournament to raise money for the James Fund. Eight teams participated and it was an exciting day. The Elgeti team triumphed in the end, defeating the Belsey team 4-2 in the Gold Medal game. The Pilon team won bronze and fourth place was taken by Isaac Schoute's crack squad of sharpshooters.

The goal was to raise $200. After all the dust settled Rachel Thompson and Brittany Downer calculated that the total was almost $450!

The grade sevens would like to thank all the participants as well as the many spectators who came out to watch. Also, they appreciate the wonderful support from Allan Hill at Domino's Pizza.

Their teacher, Mr. Nielsen said, "I think the students feel good working hard for such a good cause. I was really proud of the great job they did. What a great class!"
