Rhema for The James Fund
The excitement is in full swing at Rhema Christian School since the February 3rd launch of fundraising for The James Fund. Each class has developed their own unique way to raise money for the overall goal of $1,000 from the Rhema Students.Last week, the Grade 2/3 class held a White Elephant Sale and brought in over $500. They sold everything from homemade candy to their Barbie Dolls – what a great way to encourage the spirit of giving.
More events are planned for the week of March 13th with Ice Cream Day, Pajama Day and A Loonie Dog Lunch. Grade 5 will be selling the book “Ya Can’t Let Cancer Ruin Your Day” for $20.00 with all proceeds going toward The James Fund.
Watch for more events the week of March 20th and be sure to mark your calendars for Friday March 3rd – the date Mr. Hendriks will have his head shaved if the students make the goal of $1,000. Rhema has invited other area schools to take a similar approach to fundraising for The James Fund. If the community raises $40,000 by May 14, a research grant will be funded at
