Success
at Local Soccer Tournament
Thursday, October 6, 2005
A.Wood & R. Cole-Walker -
Rhema participated in the annual
Separate School soccer tournament on
Oct. 5, 2005 at Beavermead, in Peterborough.
And what a day it was! The weather was
beautiful, abnormally warm for October.
The 7/8 girls took home the first
place ribbons! They went 6-0 and only
allowed 2 goals all day. Way to go,
Ladies. Special thanks to the coaches,
Wendy Smale and Mr. VanderVeen.
The 7/8 boys finished in 4th, and
competed extremely well. Three games
went to shoot outs, 1 of which we
won. All the games were very close!
Way to go, boys.
The 5/6 mixed team also had a great
day. Although they only won one game,
all games were close and evenly matched,
with many games resulting in 1-0 scores.
God blessed us with a fantastic day
of competition and sportsmanship!
Our next tournament is Oct. 12th
in Tyrone. That will end our soccer
season!
