Rhema Christian School
is currently accepting applications for the 2009/2010
school year!
Getting started on the road to enrolment
at Rhema is easy. The first thing you’ll
probably want to do is check out our school.
Arranging a tour of the school is as easy
as calling and setting up an appointment.
Once you’ve had a tour and you believe
that you are comfortable with our admissions
policy, you’re ready to start the
rest of the admissions process.
* Please note that all of the information
that you submit is strictly confidential,
and will only be used to determine your
acceptance into Rhema Christian School.
** Also please note that for children in
grade one or older, you will need to have
copies of report cards and any relevant
testing sent to the school in order for
us to complete your application.
Admissions
Policy
All parents or guardians desiring to enroll
their children in Rhema Christian School
shall:
Either subscribe to the basis and aim of
the constitution or permit their children
to be instructed in keeping with the above
(see Appendix A on Membership Form.)
Assume financial obligations according to
the current schedule of financial support.
Junior Kindergarten students should be four
(4) years old by Dec. 31st. Senior Kindergarten
students should be five (5) years old by
Dec. 31st.
Student admission will only be considered
after January 1st if they are a transfer
from another Christian school or Christian
parents moving into the community.

Date
of Membership Activation
New membership applications after January
1st will be activated in the next school
year (August 1st), except in the case of
a transfer in from another CSI Christian
school. This arrangement gives full value
for the membership fee and allows new members
to come to meetings to get acquainted with
the society before receiving voting privileges.

Late Entrance
Tuition Payment
Late entrance will be charged at a daily
rate. Annual tuition rate - (divided by)
the school calendar days = rate per day
which is due on or before the 1st day of
enrolment.

Transportation
Transportation of pupils to and from school
is a parental responsibility.

Hours
First Bell - 8:38 a.m.
Class begins - 8:45 a.m.
Recess - 10:30-10:45 a.m.
Lunch Time - 12:15- 1:00 p.m.
Dismissal - 3:15 p.m.

Dress
Code
Student dress and appearance must reflect
tasteful appearance.. Simplicity, modesty,
cleanliness and neatness is expected. Students
should be attired appropriately for a learning
environment. There is no objection to pupils
wearing dress shorts, tops and skirts that
are decent and presentable. We encourage
all students and parents to choose clothing
that is Christ honouring!

General
Rules
- You shall love the Lord your God above
all persons and things.
- You shall love your classmates as yourself.
- You shall honour all your teachers because
of their appointed position and calling.
- You shall do your daily assignments, participate
in discussion, help those in need and be
alert and cooperative in class.
- You shall worship the Lord your God at
all times including special devotional periods
and with your families.
- You shall not steal answers or any work
from your classmates.
- You shall not covet your classmate's grade
or special gifts or anything that your classmates
have been given.
- You shall care for the school environment
especially your own classroom and the playground.

Admissions
Procedure
To assist you in enrolling your child at
Rhema Christian School, the following procedure
has been put into place.
First Step
Call the school office at (705) 743-1400.
Arrange for a tour of the School.
Second Step
Take your tour of the school and pick up
an information package & application
form.
Interview with the Principal (if he is available
at the time).
Third Step
Set up an interview with the Principal (if
you haven't had one already).
Complete your application form and submit
it to the school office with payment (see
Get In!) for children in grade one or older,
please have a copy of report cards and any
relevant testing with you.
Set up a date for academic achievement testing
for your child.
Fourth Step
Bring your child to the school at the appointed
time for the academic acheivement testing.
Pick up an admissions package at the school.
Fifth Step
The admissions committee will visit your
family.
Your membership status will then need to
be approved by the Board at their next Board
meeting.
Sixth Step
The Admissions Committee will inform you
of the Board's decision.
If approved - come in to the school to fill
in the registration forms at the office.
